Chris Kirk got it done at The Sentry tournament in Maui’s beautiful Kapalua course! Lifting the hefty 35lb trophy, he sported his Rolex Sky-Dweller, reference 326934 with the blue dial that perfectly matched the breaking wave design of the trophy!
The Rolex Sky-Dweller was introduced in 2012 and is the most complicated movement in their lineup. It features a second time zone via a rotating disc as well as an annual calendar that that automatically differentiates between 30 and 31 day months. The Sky-Dweller has a 42mm diameter and is crafted in stainless steel with the exception of a white gold “Ring Command” bezel that plays a crucial role. This fluted bezel can be turned in different positions to interact with the Calibre 9001 movement allowing the user’s ability to effortlessly toggle between date, local time and home time adjustments.
Aside from Chris Kirk another notable PGA player often seen wearing this piece is Jon Rahm, who oddly enough wears it on his right wrist (lefty style) despite being a right handed player. Coincidentally, Rahm was also spotted wearing this exact watch in 2023 when he won the Sentry
Rolex has become synonymous with golf, so it will be no surprise to see this iconic crown hoisting up several trophies this year. When you think of golf and top-notch timepieces, Rolex is right there in the swing of things.
